Unlike Choosing Family, where I'm careful to give enough detail about the spells used that readers should be able to catch foreshadowing and plot traps, the spells in this fic are, for the most part, filler, so if things don't make perfect sense or seem incomplete, that's why. If it's inhibiting your enjoyment or understanding of the story, let me know.

I don't own Buffy or Stargate.

What happened here is I half-remembered a comment an SG-1character made, had an idea, and wrote it. Then, when I was checking something else anyway, I looked up the original remark and realized that my thing was AU (something I've tried not to do with these ficlets up to the point of contact).

But I liked it anyway, and my birthday seemed like a justifiable reason to deviate into AU, so I went crazy with it and wrote more.

This installment is set at the end of season 5 Buffy and pre-season 7 of SG-1S1; AU, so no official spoilers as I could be making everything up.

One of my goals in this chapter was to take advantage of the opportunity to get Jennifer and Justin's relationship from episode 2.2 (when things are very tense) to 2.4 (where things are much better between them), since canon didn't really address it.
